For the bolts a spanner fights you on.

A 21V brushless impact wrench for stubborn nuts and bolts: wall anchors, brake and suspension jobs, caravan stabilisers, car and bakkie work. Two batteries and a charging dock in the case.

Good for: running stubborn nuts and bolts in and out, car and bakkie maintenance, workshop and DIY jobs.

Not for: we don't sell it as a wheel-nut gun. Some buyers say it takes wheel nuts off easily, but three said it struggled with theirs. Crack tyre-shop-tight wheel nuts with a breaker bar first, and don't count on it for very high torque (360 Nm is the maker's figure).

What our customers say

  • "did an awesome job of getting stubborn wall anchor bolts out of my brick wall in seconds."
  • "Should have got this a long time ago, been in the motor industry for 38 years, this just makes life and the job so much easier"
  • "Great for break pad replacements, suspension etc."
  • "I have used it now for a few things especially for lifting the caravans stabilizers and it's doing the job very well"

From our customers' reviews of this impact wrench (bought on Takealot), word for word.

  • Do not buy!

I bought the product solely to use when changing wheels on my vehicles as it is supposed to easily remove the wheel nuts. I read the reviews, especially the low ratings as well as the high ratings. As the positive ratings by far exceeded the negative ratings, as well as the low price, I decided to buy the product. I was quite impressed with the overall quality when I received it. The socket supplied with the tool was too large for my bakkie's wheel nuts so, to test the tool, I literally clenched the socket in my hand, and the tool could not spin it. So I went and bought a 17mm socket and tried the tool on my car. Bear in mind the wheel nuts on my car needs to be tightened to 110 ± 10 nm. The tool is rated at 600 nm so it should be a breeze. Nothing. It just made a noise. So I returned it. Kudos to Takealot, though. Despite not living in a metropolitan area, the tool was collected a day after logging the return and Takealot credited my account a day later. At least I scored a 17mm socket out of the deal.

  • Powerful Tool, Great Value!

I’m honestly impressed with this impact wrench. The power is no joke it took off wheel nuts and stubborn bolts way easier than I expected. The two batteries are a big bonus because I can work continuously without waiting for a charge. The kit comes with everything you need, and the build quality actually feels solid for the price.
I’ve already used it on my car and even on some truck bolts, and it handled them like a champ. Definitely worth it.

Would you recommend this product & why?
Yes, 100%. It’s affordable, powerful, and the two batteries make it super convenient. For DIY, mechanical work, or even roadside emergencies, this tool makes life so much easier.

  • Good value

Nott used much but is doing the job and is fairly strong. The socket retainer ring is a problem and you battle quite a bit to release socket from the drive square. Maybe mine was faulty but I eventually decide to remove the retainer ring/clip.
