For the bolts you can't swing a spanner at.

A slim 12V cordless ratchet for the tight spots: behind the engine, under the dash, inside a cupboard. Crack the bolt loose with a spanner, then let the ratchet spin it out while your hand stays still. Two batteries in the case, so one charges while you work.

Good for: running nuts and bolts in and out fast in tight spaces: car and bakkie maintenance, home fixes, and workshop jobs that repeat all day.

Not for: breaking loose seized or very tight bolts. It's a 12V tool (57 Nm, the maker's figure), so do what our customers do: crack those with a spanner or breaker bar first. For a set torque, finish with a torque wrench.

    I love the pace & versatility this tool gives me when working on my car. Tricky angles, finicky screws & repetitive tasks are a breeze now. I even use it to power lift my car attached to my scissor jack which used to be such a schlep in the past. I have zero regrets on this purchase.

  • Waste of good money.

    I totally regret buying it, would have been better off spending money on either top ratchet or even torque wrench..or something that works. I have my doubts about the 56nm spec...will still test it with a torque wrench later. Cannot even loosen normal m8...Tools also not snug in the box, almost like box was designed for another type... Ratchet has an electrical overheating smell. I have no idea where it can practically add value and make my life easier in my day to day job. Totally disappointed

    I have a better quality one but I needed something cheaper to use at home seeing as I either forget mine at work or at home. For the price it's fine. Not AS strong as the better one but it does the job. Update after 6 months. 1 battery failed after 5 months. the other battery failed after 6 months. Wasn't used daily but yes used a lot. I would rather recommend a better quality one.

    I am happy with the tool as it assists me to accomplish my day-to-day tasks in those awkward spaces. Just crack it with a wrench and the rest is easy peasy. I recommend this and think a size higher would do more wonders when this ¼ inch drive do that lot. next one in my cart will be the ½ inch drive.

  • Review of cordless ratchet

    Very happy with this product, it does what it says, quality if good for someone that seldomly does mechanical work, dont know yet about the longevity. I like the fact that it comes with two batteries, therefore there is no down time. Even though the max torque is lower than other products, I find that it still tightens very tightly and there is no need to use a spanner after wards, like I bolted heavy body parts to a car and it appeared tight enough, overall very happy.

    It is still very new to me but so far this a really impressive piece of kit for the price. Quality seems good, and with two batteries as well! Not a huge amount of sockets but then again most people will have others already I guess, and they are all compatible. Time will tell on the longevity, but I am optimistic!

    it's 12v, so I wasn't expecting much. easy to get to tight spots. However, if you want your bolt to be nice and tight, you will still need to use a spanner. Helps to get the job done quicker.
