"Really lightweight and easy to operate. Love the tool."
Neat edges with one hand, and no cord in the way.
A 21V cordless trim router for rounding edges, flush trimming and cutting neat grooves. Light enough to steer with one hand, with a see-through base so you can watch the line. Two batteries in the box.
Good for: edging shelves and tabletops, flush trimming, small grooves and decorative edges on DIY and furniture projects.
Not for: heavy, deep cuts in one go. Take two shallow passes instead of one deep one. Two buyers say the plastic depth lock can slip, so check it's tight before each pass, and make sure the bit is tightened in the collet.

From our customers' reviews of this router (bought on Takealot), word for word.
In the box: 1 cordless trim router · 2 x 21V batteries · 1 charger · trimmer guide set · straight guide set · screws · manual. Takes standard 1/4-inch (6.35 mm) router bits.
Specs: 21V · brushless motor · 6 speeds, 10,000-15,000 rpm · 1/4-inch (6.35 mm) collet · see-through base · quick-release cam lock for depth and base changes · rack-and-pinion depth adjustment (depth marks are lines, not millimetres).
Before your first job: charge both batteries fully, take the battery out to change bits, and test the depth on an offcut first.

Powerful Machine
I was satisfied with my purchase, I haven't used it long enough to judge battery life and quality, or even how long it'll go on for before overheating.
All I know so far is that it's loud and very powerful.kevin · 11 Dec 2025

Al&Afa 21V Cordless Wood Router
Light and easy to handle, when edging it vibrates and on one occasion the router bit came loose and fell out. Not all the screws came with for the guide bracket. I still need to use it on different projects. I happy with the purchase.

Love it
This is such a cool tool to have in your collection. The downside is that it does not have a depth gauge in mm... only little lines. It heats up a bit, but I don't see myself using this continuously for long periods. It's a very versatile tool that will help me accompish finishes I was not able to before. The price is highly competitive too. Can't wait to tackle my next project!
